Dell PowerEdge R6515 — Single-Socket 1U Rack Server
The PowerEdge R6515 packs dual-socket-class performance into a dense 1U single-socket chassis, making it a natural fit for racks where power and space are at a premium.
Built on 2nd or 3rd Generation AMD EPYC silicon with up to 64 cores per processor, it brings PCIe Gen4 bandwidth and DDR4 memory running at up to 3200 MT/s to workloads that used to need a second CPU socket to keep up.
Front-bay configurations flex between 3.5-inch SAS/SATA drives and dense 2.5-inch NVMe or SAS/SATA arrangements, backed by PERC hardware RAID or HBA passthrough and optional BOSS boot mirroring, so storage layout can match the workload rather than the other way round.
iDRAC9 with Redfish support, silicon root of trust and signed firmware round out a platform designed for automated, secure fleet management at scale.
Every unit is configured to order — choose your EPYC processor, memory capacity, drive bays, RAID controller and network daughter card before it ships.
All hard drives are tested to 100% health · All SSDs are tested to 90-100% health

Contact Us About StockAbout the Dell PowerEdge R6515
The PowerEdge R6515 condenses dual-socket-class compute into a single-socket 1U chassis, pairing an AMD EPYC processor of up to 64 cores with PCIe Gen4 expansion and up to 2TB of DDR4 memory.
Configure the processor, memory, drive bays, RAID controller and network daughter card below to match a specification to your workload — whether that's a virtualisation host, an HCI node, or a compact database server for a branch office rack.
What a refurbished R6515 gives you
Typical Use Cases
- Virtualisation hosts running VMware ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V
- Azure Stack HCI and other hyper-converged infrastructure nodes
- Network functions virtualisation (NFV) appliances at the network edge
- Remote office and branch office (ROBO) file and application servers
- SQL Server or PostgreSQL database hosts needing high memory bandwidth
- Software-defined storage nodes using dense 2.5-inch NVMe configurations
- GPU-accelerated inference or transcoding with single-wide accelerator cards
- Per-socket licensed workloads where a single high-core-count CPU reduces cost
