HPE ProLiant DL385 Gen10 - 2U AMD EPYC Rack Server
The DL385 Gen10 is a dual-socket 2U rack server built around HPE's ProLiant DL300 platform, engineered for density and flexibility rather than a single fixed configuration.
It was the first ProLiant to pair with 2nd generation AMD EPYC 7002 Series processors, doubling the core density of the previous generation and lifting memory speeds to 2933 MT/s for a meaningful jump in application throughput.
Across a two-socket build you get up to 128 cores, 32 DIMM slots and support for up to 4TB of DDR4 memory, alongside modular drive bays that flex between up to 30 SFF, 19 LFF or 24 NVMe drives and room for multiple GPUs - a genuinely capable platform for virtualisation and software-defined storage.
Built-in silicon root of trust, HPE iLO 5 and choice of Smart Array controllers round out a server designed for security-conscious, workload-dense environments.
Configure your own DL385 Gen10 here - pick your AMD EPYC processor, memory capacity, storage controller, drive type and networking to match the workload you're building for.

The HPE ProLiant DL385 Gen10 pairs 2nd generation AMD EPYC 7002 Series processors with a genuinely flexible 2U chassis, supporting up to 128 cores, 4TB of memory and drive layouts that stretch from SFF and LFF SAS/SATA to 24-drive NVMe configurations. It's built for virtualisation, software-defined storage and hyper-converged infrastructure where core count, memory bandwidth and I/O flexibility all matter at once.
Quick specification snapshot
Typical Use Cases
- Virtualisation hosts running VMware ESXi, Hyper-V or Proxmox across dense EPYC core counts
- vSAN Ready Node and other software-defined storage deployments
- Hyper-converged infrastructure clusters consolidating compute and storage nodes
- Memory-intensive database servers benefiting from high DIMM count and DDR4 bandwidth
- General-purpose enterprise application hosting where core density reduces server count
- GPU-accelerated workloads using the server's double-wide and single-wide GPU slots
- Secure infrastructure builds relying on silicon root of trust and runtime firmware validation
