The SR250 is Lenovo's entry single-socket 1U rack server, built around a compact 434.4mm-wide chassis available in two bay configurations: four simple- or hot-swap 3.5-inch drives, or up to ten hot-swap 2.5-inch bays including two NVMe-capable slots.
Based on the 7Y51/7Y52 platform, it takes a single Intel processor from the Core, Pentium, Celeron or Xeon E range rather than the Scalable family found in larger ThinkSystem servers, keeping cost and power draw down for smaller deployments.
Four DDR4 UDIMM slots support up to 128GB of ECC memory at 2666MT/s, and dual Gigabit Ethernet plus a dedicated XClarity Controller port give you onboard remote management without extra cabling. Two PCIe slots are available for additional networking, storage controllers or a GPU where power and clearance allow.
