The DL385 Gen10 Plus is HPE's dense, dual-socket AMD platform built for hybrid cloud, virtualisation and software-defined storage. It packs a flexible 2U chassis around the 2nd Generation AMD EPYC 7000 Series processor, which doubles core density over the previous generation.
With up to 128 cores across two sockets, 32 DIMM slots supporting up to 4TB of DDR4 running at speeds up to 3200 MT/s, and PCIe Gen4 expansion throughout, this generation shifts the balance firmly towards memory-bound and I/O-hungry workloads.
Storage flexibility is a strong point: configure up to 28 SFF, 20 LFF or 16 NVMe drives behind HPE Smart Array controllers that can run in SAS RAID or HBA pass-through mode, alongside a choice of OCP 3.0 or PCIe standup networking adapters.
iLO 5 with Silicon Root of Trust and the AMD Secure Processor gives the platform hardware-rooted security by default, while support for HPE OneView and iLO RESTful API extensions makes it straightforward to fold into an automated infrastructure.
